The previous owner chose to add venting holes on the right side of the case where the heat sink is located. The Basic C1 typically was paired with the M1 power amp, but the owner of this one chose the KM-105 and it works well, plus it has the nice red power meter lighting. The KM-105 stereo power amp is a very nice basic power amp that puts out a strong 125wpc RMS at 8 ohms. It of course works fine and is in great shape, and includes the original owners manual. The KT-57 was a fine digital display AM and FM tuner that was sold in this period and matches up well. This unit is very popular, and is a sought after mod platform and also is popular for a modern front end when hooked up to tube power amps. This preamp features a great phono section and has MM and MC cart capability. ![]() The C1 is a legendary control unit preamp, and this one is in like new condition. These all are from the mid to late 80s, and each unit works great. This lot of gear includes the classic BASIC C1 preamplifier, the KT-57 AM FM tuner, and the KM-105 stereo power amplifier.
